		<description>As youâ€™ve pointed out in your blog and newsletters, many of us who have chronic illness donâ€™t know what we think about it. In general our culture prefers to put death and illness under the rug because it makes us uncomfortable. Weâ€™re not very good about admitting our mortality or vulnerability. After all, we are the â€œkings of the world!â€

People willing to expose their illness are usually considered to be heroes, unless they are politicians. Then suspicions about hidden agendas come into play. So, so sad.
